These young women never heard that you can’t use common street bikes on narrow, steep, twisty and rough trails. Gosh, they haven’t even added specialized knobby tires, $2000 upgraded suspensions, or any of the other must-haves of “adventure bikes”!
Kudos to them. Reminds me of my teens when I rode with my brother on the back of his Honda CB750 200 miles to the Colorado River, struggled through rock and sand to campsites and swimming spots (sometimes I pushed, like the gallant gals in the video), and 200 miles again back home. Nowadays you’d get, “you can’t do that!” if you dared to suggest such an off-pavement excursion on a Honda street bike.
And if you said you’d ride a Honda Goldwing off the tarmac?
Okay, that’s extreme and only for very skilled riders who are not solo. Fun to watch, however… though a little painful. I winced every time their suspensions loudly bottomed out. Or was that rocks smacking the undersides? Both? Ouch!
